Thursday 1st September: Tour of Britain, Holme Moss-Club ride. John Savage conquers this Category 1 climb twice, yes twice, in the space of 6 days! Ably accompanied by Barnsley fireman, John Hyde, and given moral support by webmaster Stan, Sav rode up Holme Moss from Darton, about 20 miles away on Saturday 27th August as a recce for the club run on TOB day. He repeated his feat again on September 1st, the day the TOB went up the Moss, with a school colleague for company (and a few hundred other riders). These two late challenges must put Sav among the front runners for this season's KOM points!
